The Idlewild Baptist Recreation Ministry seeks to glorify God, introduce Christ, and apply his teachings in a recreational environment.
We partner with area churches to host Spring and Fall baseball and softball for both girls and boys, Ages 5 to 15, on our church campus.
SPRING 2025 TEE-BALL/BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
As in years past, the tee-ball/baseball teams will be hosted by 316 Sports. Tee-Ball and Coach pitch will practice and play at IBC fields while older baseball teams will hold practices and games at Ebenezer Baptist. All girls interested in playing on a softball team should utilize the link below to sign up through Hopewell Baptist Church. Games will be hosted at both IBC and Hopewell.

Our goal is to be a living testimony of God’s love and Grace. Each team has both Godly coaches and team Chaplains to bring God’s Word through prayer and reading. We want to teach everyone the skills that can be used on the ball fields as well as teaching them and drawing them closer to Jesus Christ. At each practice and game, a time of devotion and prayer is led by the Chaplain. We also have people in the church prayer walking the fields and praying for the teams. The ultimate goal of the entire ministry is to show the love of Christ to all who come in contact with it. We focus everything that we do on 1 Corinthians 10:31, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” (NAS)
